Get a curkling iron and turn it straight up and down so when you take your hair out of it, it's a long curl. once all your hair is in those curls, take a wide tooth comb and break apart the curls. it will come out wavy.

wash your hair at night and wet curl it, wear the curlers to bed then when you wake up take them out and let the curls fall to the way you want then then hair spray them in place but make sure you use really good hairspray

Those photos show hair that is more wavy than curly. Is your hair that long, what is the texture? Is it stick straight or does it have any natural wave?
I have a Caruso Molecular Curler that uses steam to curl/wave your hair.You can get different size rollers, and by the time you've finished the last roller, you can start removing them and you can get a nice soft wave (depending on length, etc)
Or you could do 'finger waves', wait till your hair is just damp and twist sections and let it dry that way. It takes a long time though.
