I want my hair in an emo hairstyle but I dont know what to ask for when I go to my stylist?

which one? thined out, choppy layers or both? heres a pic of my hair when its straitened (with a flat iron) about 8 hours after I straitened it.

1.Choppy Layers

2.Thined out

3. Both choppy layers and thined out.

4.How much should I cut in the back in order to spike it.

I would say get it choppy all around, I think it would flatter your face better.
