Are all yorkies hair the same?

I have a 5-6 month old male yorkie and he is black with brown in the middle. Ive seen on website photos that some yorkies are light brown with black spots and really really soft,straight shiny hair..and then I see my yorkie which is black and with alittle bit of brown in the face and paws and he has like wavy dull hair.. All the pictures I see like this are puppy yorkies, and the straight hair ones are adults. Do yorkies stay with that hair and some dont? Or is it just the puppies that are born with wavy dull hair and then it growns really straight and shiny?? help please =-(

I have a Yorkie and when she was a puppy she was black and brown she almost looked like a baby Rotweiler. She's going to be 3 and she is now gray and tan. As for the hair being dull. Try not to bathe him more than every couple of weeks, it dries out the hair. If you keep brushing him his hair will eventually get that long straight thing going, I prefer to keep my girl's hair much shorter due to the fact she hates to have her paws brushed and they matte up so fast.

My brother got a Yorkie after falling in love with mine and his was also the black/brown combo and she's almost 2 now and she is still the same colors as when she was a pup.

I think it all depends on the parents as to wether the hair changes or not.

If you want your little guys hair to be long and straight you have to keep on top of it and be sure to brush him every day.

There are different colors and sizes. Some Yorkies are a little smaller than others. Their coats can vary. But for the most part they are pretty much the same, just different variations. And yes there is no such thing as a teacup yorkie.

Nope there are color veriations

mine is a blue gold meaning her black hair turned grey tinted and has a golden face, now after they have puppies there hair can turn white and blonde in the face and the same with aging it gets lighter and lighter, people can tint there dog's hair but it's toxic for them
